The technology network features an RFT builder and a reverse-auction procurement platform.
Houston, TX – March 01, 2017 – RequestICT is a reverse-auction ICT (or IT) procurement platform that allows its customers to build an RFT in order to reach out to local ICT solution providers. Today, the company announced the launch of its Beta platform currently serving the Greater Houston Area (with plans to quickly expand to Dallas, Austin and San Antonio), featuring an initial network of 50 RVPs (Verified Vendor Partners) and 12 ICT categories, such as Network Communications, Cyber Security, Data Center Solutions, Application Development, and more.
The ICT network, powered by existing IT solution providers (RVPs), enables the customers to get pricing proposals for diverse IT projects through an “aggregator” method similar to that used widely by other industries such as Auto, Travel, Oil & Gas and others.
Simply put, once an RFT is submitted, the identity of the customers (or End Users) is kept private throughout the bidding process, allowing them to shop with confidence and on their own schedule. The RVPs will receive this project in form of a lead with enough information to be able to build a pricing and service delivery proposal. Once a bid is awarded, the End User’s information will be revealed to the RVP.
By using this method, End Users will enjoy not only better pricing, but also a shorter turnaround in the completion of IT projects, while IT providers get sales leads tailored to their delivery capabilities, avoiding the need for subcontractor fees and risky partnerships.
IT Vendors looking to provide their services on the Marketplace can do so by registering for an RVP membership, which involves an annual subscription and commission fees on projects awarded through the platform.
